Too Much Information
Shan and Javar are an average couple in Chicago leading a quiet life somewhere outside of Boystown. They do laundry, attend the occasional condo meeting, eat, and sleep. That was until Javar's sister moves in, Shane's mother becomes an activist, and all of their friends start dating the wrong people. This leaves Javar holding it all together since Shane isn't the hold it together type. The biggest change came about when Javar's sister gets a job for the Church of Tabernacle Saints and Everlasting Light of the Holy Trinity 7th Day Mosque, and needed a place to live. Even though her beliefs aren't necessarily in line with theirs or anyone else's, they agree.
Reverend Bishop Pastor Deacon Miguel Fernandez (Father Miguel for short), hired Systah for her insights into the LGBTQ community. By having a gay brother, it was assumed she would naturally be a good source for information about the gay agenda. Her calling has been to assist the church outreach and curtail certain activities for this and other segments of the population when possible. Outside of saving souls, her biggest aspiration are to see her brother settle down with a beautiful woman, and finding her own Mr. Right.
From time to time, a few friends will make appearances. Kordell is cool and always means well, but like Systah he doesn't always come across that way. All he really wants out of life is a good woman, who happens to be a lesbian in search of a good man. Sanjay stays busy falling in and out of friendship with Shane or attending the wounds of his on again off again relationship with a radical porn artist boyfriend.
A few things you may notice about the guys is that Shane has a knack for persuading some people to do what he says. His favorite pastimes are his art, karaoke, and tech. Basically he likes to make things. Javar is a man of few words, which is ironic considering that his job is that of a news reporter for an unknown network - though that isn't important. What's good to know is that he is the supportive and nurturing type. Like Shane, he can be a little tech-ish, but is more of an outdoorsman and prefers running, or a game of v-ball on the beach.
The strip is created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS4.
It generally updates once a weak and is told in snippets semilar to a newspaper style comic.
